The Invisible Key to Success in Life

belief drives behavior reflection selfawareness

Think about and assess your life right now, how would you rate it?

There are a number of different categories that we can consider, for example, career, relationships, finances, health, spiritual, etc.  If you haven't already, go ahead and take the Mindset Quiz on  my website- www.ChristineMRoberts.com, and use this tool to evaluate the various areas.

Which ones do you rate high and which do you rate low?  For the areas that you rated low, why is that?

At the end of the day the quality of our lives comes back to you and comes back to me. If it stinks or if it is great, we can thank ourselves.

There was a time in my life when my relationship with my daughter was going south. There have been many other times my life has gone south, but for now, I’ll just share this example.

Our relationship was deteriorating. We were getting into negative dynamics of communication, and if it would’ve kept going in that direction, I probably wouldn’t have much of a connection with her today.

During that time, I knew the only person that I could change was me.

Growing up in a pretty dysfunctional environment including alcoholism, domestic violence, and sexual abuse, I had a lot to overcome. But we all have our issues, right? Maybe yours isn’t the same but we’re all broken in some way.

Having worked in the personal growth world for years, I’ve done many different kinds of assessments, Myers Briggs, RightPath 4/6, StrengthsFinder, and others I don’t even remember.

In the past 30 years, I have read mounds of psychology, human behavior, quantum physics, leadership, and personal growth content--more than you can imagine. I love that stuff!!

There is so much that I could share although for today, let’s talk about the fact that self-awareness is one of the key components to success. Sometimes I wish I didn’t know this and could go about my business in oblivion.

I find that every time there are issues in my life it always comes back to me and I have to figure out how I need to change and what I need to do differently.

How about you? What areas of your life need improvement? And what are you doing about it?

Ultimately it is our thinking that determines our life.

I love the saying…Belief Drives Behavior.  So what do you believe? What do you believe about yourself and about others?

Whatever it is, do not fret, because you are the captain of your life. You have everything in you to create your best life possible, but it takes guts and it takes action.

There’s no excuse these days with Google. We have access to every type of information you could possibly want or need to seek out ways to improve. You can find counselors, seminars, retreats, coaches (me🙋‍♀️), etc.

Assess where you are today and commit to stepping up and owning it, in whatever area necessary. When you take action and implement, others will follow you and you will be an inspiration and role model.

At the end of the day when you look in the mirror and lead yourself, success will follow. Who doesn’t want that?
